House Beautiful Magazine listens to Liz!

House Beautiful magazine asked Bob Boilen of NPR Music's "All Songs Considered" to put together a playlist for a cool dinner-party, and Liz's great air, "The Island of Woods," is included.

It's a very fun collection, so click and check out Liz's tune and other great music for your next soiree!

Liz and the GRAMMYS!

Double Play was nominated for a 2010 Best Traditional World Music Album! Here are a few words from Liz.

"Well, we didn't get it, but it was a fabulous time. As I figured, this fellow from Mali won our category; he's a koro player, simply a great musician and person. We've met a few times over the years. Anyway, finally the pressure was off. I have to say, I was really feeling it - especially the possibility of having to speak. Would have been great though. The awards in the evening were fun and loud. If you watched, you know that Pink's act was pretty cool, that Taylor Swift knows how to pick collaborators, and that there's obviously only one kind of music in the world, and it's not classical, jazz, or blues or ...

There was a big celebration party after, and we really did enjoy that - drinks, food. NeYo was entertaining, as was Sam Moore of Sam and Dave fame, and Jamie Foxx. And that's about it. I have a lovely medal for my efforts and I think I get to say Grammy nominated from now on - how cool!"

Liz and the President!

On March 17, 2009, Liz and John Doyle entertained President Barack Obama at the annual St. Patrick's Day luncheon at the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. The event was hosted by Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, and guests included the new Taoiseach (Prime Minister) of Ireland, Mr. Brian Cowen.
