Celtic Connections: Liz as part of String Sisters

Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, 2 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, Scotland

String Sisters are happy to be on the same bill as Donald Shaw's "Scotland's Wild Heart."

From the Celtic Connections' web site:

"Back at their Celtic Connections birthplace, where they made their debut in 2001, String Sisters brings together six of the world’s finest folk fiddlers, in a sumptuous convergence of Scottish, Irish, Nordic and US traditions. Joining Shetlander Catriona Macdonald, who led the original project, are Norway’s Annbjørg Lien, Irish-Americans Liz Carroll and Liz Knowles, Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh of Altan and Sweden’s Emma Härdelin. With masterful accompaniment from David Milligan (piano), Tore Bruvoll (guitar), Conrad Molleson (bass) and James Mackintosh (percussion), plus the bonus of Ní Mhaonaigh and Härdelin’s singing, tonight’s performance launches the band’s long-awaited second album, featuring lavish ensemble arrangements of traditional and original material."
